Andrew Costa Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 19 to Jan. 21, 2024.
In loving memory of Andrew J. Costa, age 39, of Waterbury, who unexpectedly passed away on December 9th, 2023. Born in Waterbury, CT on January 4, 1984, Andrew dedicated many years to his work at Maaco and, more recently, found joy in the construction industry. His vibrant spirit shone through his favorite activities such as cooking, fishing, hiking, and playing Xbox. Above all, Andrew cherished spending Sundays with his family around the dinner table.

Known for his infectious smile, Andrew was a patient, kind, and generous soul, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His easy-going nature and lightheartedness endeared him to others, and he expressed his love by cooking for his adored mother almost every night.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Anne Costa; his sister, Alicia Riggi (Joe); his brother, Paul Costa (Jericha); his niece, Briana Iannicelli, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is predeceased by his father, Gary Costa. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, Andrew maintained close ties with his three best friends, Nick, Tom, and Misty.

A memorial celebration of Andrew's life will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1987 East Main St., Waterbury, 06705.

I don´t think I ever saw Andrew when he wasn´t smiling. It truly was infectious. It was impossible to spend a few minutes with him without that same smile appearing on my face. Gifts like that are worth far more than money. Goodbye Andrew, hopefully we´ll smile again together someday.
