Andrew Thomas "Andy" Gill

Andrew Thomas Gill, known affectionately as Andy, passed away on May 11, 2025, in Brookside, Colorado, at the age of 45. Born on January 9, 1980, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Andy grew up in Canon City, Colorado, where he attended Canon City High School.

Andy was a skilled screed operator at Rocky Mountain Materials and Asphalt. His career was marked by a strong work ethic and dedication, traits that he carried into his personal life, especially in his role as a father.

A true outdoorsman, Andy's passions included fishing, dirt biking, camping, boating, and attending races. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends, especially his three sons, Charles, Gavin, and Camron Gill, with whom he shared his love for the great outdoors. Andy's charismatic and outgoing personality made him a beloved figure in his community and among his peers.

He is survived by his mother, Joanne Baughman; stepfather, Monte Baughman; brothers, Corey and Doug Gill; sister-in-law, Jessica Gill; his sons, Charles, Gavin, and Camron Gill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, James Stathem; cousin, Michael Vanderhoef; and uncle, Jimmy Stathem.

A celebration of Andy's life will be held at the Pueblo Reservoir during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The family requests that those who wish to attend reach out for details.

The Holt Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canon City, Colorado, is assisting the family with arrangements. Andy's vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
