Andrew Gordon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 3, 2016.
Andrew Gordon passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016. He was born April 5, 1984 in Houston, Texas to Steve and Andrea Gordon. Andrew and his parents lived in various locations before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Andrew graduated from Holland Hall in 2002. Andrew then attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2006. Andrew supplemented this with a degree from Texas State Technical College in 2010 to pursue his passion in the computer world.

Andrew met Keely Denise Mattice, the love of his life, while at The University of Oklahoma. Andrew and Keely moved to Houston, Texas and soon were raising two daughters, Lucy Denise, age 2 and Eleanor (Elly) Grace, 8 months. He was a joyful father while working in a job he loved at StarTex Software.

We remember Andrew by his love for and complete devotion to his family.

We remember Andrew by his sensitive and caring nature to his friends.

We remember Andrew by the laughter and enthusiasm he brought to all.

Andrew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Helen and Emmett Kukura. Survivors include his wife, Keely and his children, Lucy and Elly. Also surviving Andrew are his parents Steve and Andrea Gordon, his grandfather Phil Gordon and his grandmother Judy Gordon.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Primrose Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Ronnie Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery in El Reno, Oklahoma.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lucy's and Elly's UESP 529 college savings plans by sending the donation to 907 Blue Willow Drive, Houston, TX 77042.

Gordon Family,

Words have not been invented to express my sadness at finding out about Andrew's passing. Along with Steve I helped coach his little league team and will always remember his competitiveness and that unmistakable twinkle in his eye! We spent many evenings with Steve and Andrea as the boys played and will always cherish that period in our lives and how we were welcomed in the Gordon household.

Know that at times like this it seems that there is no "light at the end of the tunnel" for Keely, Lucy and Elly. With the grace of God and support from family and friends there will be happiness and laughter in you household in the years to come ..... though it will never be the same.

May God's grace and kindness be with all of you during this most difficult time.
