SAUGUS – Mr. Andrew J. Murphy born Sept 15, 1932 passed away at age 86 on March 30, 2019. He was retired from the Saugus post office after 30 years of service. He was a former Exalted Ruler of the Saugus Elks and an avid shopper at BJ's in Danvers. After which he would stop by his daughter's house for a cup of tea (with one ice cube) and any desert available. He had two wonderful wives, the late Arlene (Lee) Knight) of 22 years and the late Carole (Loftin) of 32 years. He is survived by his four children, Sandra Jordan, Donna Sharp, Robert Murphy, and Patricia Caplan and his son-in-law Scott Caplan. He leaves 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild who will all miss him. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass which will be held in Our Lady of The Assumption Church, Lynnfield on Saturday April 6 at 12:30 P.M.. Following the Mass all are welcome to Sandra & Donna's home, 7B MacArthur Blvd, Danvers, to share in your memories of Andrew's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923, where in his final days he was cared for as if he was in his own home. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral home, 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers.
