Services: Friday, July 25, 9 a.m.
Services will be held Friday, July 25, 2003 for Andrew Lagasse, who passed away July 21, 2003, in the Catholic Church in Mojave at 9 a.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. at Mojave Cemetery.
Andrew was born April 11, 1928 in Limestone, Maine. He was a Sgt. 1st Class and D. I. in the U.S. Army. A military man for over 20 years, he was a decorated veteran. He and his wife traveled the world and landed where they started in Mojave, CA. Andrew then worked at Edwards AFB for 10 years. He chose to spend the last part of his working career managing the grounds at the Lakeshore Inn Country Club in Calif. City. He retired in 1993. He passed to the next meeting place, with the same strength and grace in which he lived. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling a good joke as much as getting one. Andrew was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
We would like to thank all of our family and friends who have been a great help during this difficult time. Andrew will be missed by many and the good Lord has another great soldier to guard the gates of Heaven.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marcus Lagasse of Mojave; son, Andy Lagasse of Bakersfield; daughter-in-law, April Lagasse of Bakersfield and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria Lagasse.
