Andrew Mazza Obituary
Born July 15, 1992, in Scranton, he was the son of Phillip P. Mazza and companion, Gina Grizzanti of Greenfield Twp., and Kimberly Robbins of New Hampshire.
Andrew was a 2011 graduate of Lakeland High School, and was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union 542, Wilkes-Barre, for five years, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Andrew enjoyed snowmobiling, skydiving, boating at the lake and performance diesel racing.
His family would like to thank all of the EMS and firefighters involved with the accident, and are forever grateful for their efforts.
Also surviving are sister, Kathleen Mazza of Jefferson City, Tenn.; sister, Macy Phillips of Vandling; half-brother, Jimmy Roberts of Winchendon, Mass.; maternal grandfather, Chris Robbins of Colorado; maternal grandmother, Betsie Combs of Massachusetts; great-aunt, Rose Gerace of Brooklyn, N.Y.; uncles, Michael Mazza of Lenox; Christopher and Robin Mazza of Newton Lake; and Charles and Leslie Mazza of Simpson; several cousins
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kathleen and Michael Mazza
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Mazza Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Andrew was such a kind, caring, considerate child who spent time at our home when he lived next door. He was very bright, knowing how to give detailed directions to get from point a to b. Our picnics weren't complete without his smile, jokes, laughter. Although it was many years ago, he made an impression on all who were at our table. Not only my Husbands side but, My side of the family, the Riggi's would like to extend their sympathies as well.
