Andrew Pelger, 81, died September 27, 2003 at Candler Hospital. He was born in Eibersdorf, Romania March 16, 1922, son of Andrew Pelger and Katherine Mueller Pelger. Mr. Pelger retired from Gulfstrean Aerospace and was previously with Grumman Aerospace in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an active member of the Transylvania Saxons. Survivors: wife of 53 years, Hildegard Pelger of Savannah; daughter and son-in-law, Gabriela K. Jarrell and Charles L. Jarrell III of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew M. Pelger and Patricia Pelger of Jacksonville, FL.; sister, Katherine Henning of Germany; grandson, Rennan Pelger of Jacksonville, FL.; granddaughter, Abigail Pelger of Jacksonville, FL. Memorial Service will be held in his homeland at a later date.
