Andrew David Pleimling

Andrew David Pleimling, age 42, of New Lenox, Illinois, died on April 24, 2025. Andrew was born on March 29, 1983, to parents Janet and Stephen Pleimling, in Hinsdale, Illinois. He grew up in Downers Grove, graduating from Downers Grove North High School, 2001. Andrew had a 20+ year career in logistics management. He enjoyed skateboarding, concerts, photography, and cooking. He loved teaching his niece, Abby, skateboarding. He looked forward to the annual "guys only" camping trip with Gavin, Erich and Dad. Andrew worked Lollapalooza every summer. He met the love of his life (his words) Jamie, the summer of 2019. He asked her to marry him on a vacation to Mexico in 2022. He had an infectious bright smile and gave incredible hugs. Andrew was very sentimental about family heirlooms. He cherished items owned by his grandfather, Lawrence Green, and his uncle, David Green. He was a most special and supportive friend. He was preceded in death by grandparents Joseph and Shirley Pleimling, uncle David Pleimling, and grandfather Lawrence Green. He is survived by his fiancé Jamie Mandel, parents Janet (née Green) and Stephen Pleimling, brother, Erich (Yvette) Pleimling, nephew Gavin Pleimling, niece Abigail Pleimling, grandmother Nancy Green, aunts and uncles, and most beloved cousins. A celebration of our dear Andrew is to be determined.

In lieu of flowers or other memorials, donations are being accepted to fund the college educations of Andrew's nephew, Gavin, and niece, Abigail. Donations can be sent to Andrew's brother, Erich. Thank you so much for honoring Andrew's wishes. His family is most grateful.
