Andrew Smith Obituary
He had a long successful career as an entrepreneur and real estate developer starting as a family business with his father in the 1960s. He was an Admiral in the Texas Navy and also a member and Past Commodore of Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook Texas. Throughout his life he enjoyed sailing, boating, adventure sports, scuba diving and traveling with his family.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Ambrose Smith and Vincent Smith Jr.,and Brother in laws Preston Carey and John James.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Cheri Smith and his children Marsene Boldt, Stacey Christman and Eric Smith also his sisters Georgia Carey and Bridget James, his grandchildren Travis Boldt, Dylan Boldt, Erin Boldt, Avery Miranda, Andrew Christman, Jacob Smith and Quinn Smith. His great grandchildren, Jude & Page Boldt, Benicio & Louisa Miranda. Many great friends from St. Thomas High School, Lakewood Yacht club and lifelong friend and previous spouse, Sheila McMullen.
He had a strong sense of family and was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He brought tenacity, ingenuity and humor to all his endeavors and loved to tell a good story. He loved good times, good friends, good food and a glass of wine or scotch with friends and family. His sense of adventure, laughter, mischief and generosity will be remembered always. He will be sorely missed.
Memorial Services will be at St Thomas Episcopal Church 18300 Upper Bay RD, Houston Texas, 77058 on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 10am. Please come ready to share a story or memory of Andrew. Reception to follow in the home he built and loved.

1972 when he introduced David and I (50 years later we are still, happily, together). Andrew was best man at our wedding May 24, 1975.

Andrew was a very welcoming friend who I shared many good times with. He and Cheri were a delightful couple and were a joy to be around. Although I haven´t seen Andrew for a few years, I will always remember the fun times at Clear Lake.
