Andrew Youngblood Obituary
He was born July 8, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Andrew Jackson Youngblood and Irene Nelson. Andy was a U.S. veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked and retired as the superintendent for the city of Memphis, then he owned a car lot for three years.
Andy married the love of his life, Carolyn, 20 years ago on Oct. 18, 2003, in Dell Rapids, South Dakota. He enjoyed classic country music, taking care of his horses and was passionate about politics. He was always traveling and riding motorcycles with his wife. Above all, Andy adored Carolyn, and always took care of her.
Andy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Youngblood of Gassville, Arkansas; sister Laura (Gary) Land of Collierville, Tennessee; grandson William (Amber) Youngblood; great-grandson, Gunner Youngblood of Atoka, Tennessee; stepchildren Tod (Shane) Haak and son of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Lori (Kermit) Roemeling of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Duane (Josie) Haak and family of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Darrin (Barb) Haak and family of Brandon, South Dakota; and his closest, dear friends, Johnny Ryan, Dan and Pat Gary.
He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Lee Youngblood; brother Billy; his parents; and several uncles.
A celebration of life for Andy will be 3 p.m. April 29, 2023, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Frase officiating. Burial will be in South Dakota.

Carolyn and family, my heart goes out to you at this difficult time. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I smile when I think of Andy as he always made me laugh with his stories. Peace to you all!
