Just wanted to let the family know I think of Angel often. I enjoy seeing her girls every week at gymnastics at Bama Bounders. It's absolutely amazing how well her children have adjusted to a new life without their Mommy. I am certain if not for Angel's nurturing these children would not have been prepared for a life without her. She will never be forgotten.

Johnny, Campbell, Gabby, Saylor Grace, Chuck, Glenn, Jack and Dottie:

I have buried deep in my heart a love that will live forever for Angel and the special footprint Angel put there. Her smile was so calming and her grace so comforting. When I think of her I will always remember one morning at school when my kids did not want to get out of the car. They were having a hard time adjusting. Angel had Saylor on her hip and Gabby by the hand. She could hear my kids crying. She stopped and came to my car. I said, "No Angel. It's okay." She looked at my kids smiled and said "Do you want me to take you to your rooms?" They were crying and said "Yes." She said "Come on." I remember watching her give that love and grace to my kids. I remember saying, "Girl, you have enough. They will be fine." She said, "Lisa it's not a problem." Angel always took "time." She always gave of herself. My kids loved her dearly. They miss her too. It's more than a privilege to have known her. Words cannot express the impact she will always have on me. I know that God is going to do great things in the lives of her kids. I praise God for Angel and her life. My promise to you is that I will keep an eye on those kids and I will do whatever you need to help in the days ahead. You can count on me. I have a text from Angel when school started. She said to me that of all people she knew she could depend on me to help her. I told her I would and I will. Her light and love shines so brightly when I look at them. My prayers and thoughts are with you daily.

I don't know Angel but I have heard some wonder things about her and her family from my son, Scott Gartman. He loved Angel and always spoke highly of her and Johnny. God must have a very special reason for taking her home at such a young age and to have her leave her loving family. I have had her on our prayer list in Sunday School and will continue to pray for all of you for the times ahead. She will always be in your hearts. God bless all of you.

To Angel's beloved family: May God carry you in the times ahead with love and care. One thing that immediately comes to mind and heart about Angel was how she connected to others sincerely and could say, "I love you"like no one else. You are all extensions of her spirit and God's. You will shine on and in turn so will she! The service and warmth today was inspiring like her life and her supportive family, friends, church family, community, medical team, etc. Blessings and hugs to you all. Lisa Plowman Dolensky *Also thought it by God's design that she moved to Heaven during October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Her faith-walk and brave fight will continue to bring awareness to the cause.

I had the chance to meet Angel at a church event several years ago. Although I only saw her that one time, she made a profound impression on me. She had such a warm and friendly personality. She was beaming as she showed me pictures of her three beautiful children and her husband. It was obvious that they meant the world to her. Our hearts go out to you and we pray that God comforts you during this time.

Angel made a special impact in my life...it was my honor to be one of her teacher's along the way at Holt High School. We spent six wonderful years together working on all things HHS, and just having a blast!!! Today, you stood there in the church for her...representing her entrance to heaven with such a presence and reverence to her life, and the attitude and love she always represented to others. Her smile is forever planted in my heart...I pray and wish for your entire family peace beyond our understanding through God's love.

I didn't know your courageous wife, but we prayed for her weekly in our women's group. She was such an inspiration and had such great faith. I pray you and your beautiful children will find comfort and peace in knowing that she is no longer in pain, but is resting in the arms of the Lord she believed holds such healing power. Maybe the healing she received came in the form of all those lives she is still touching even today. God bless you.

I have not been an active part of Angel's life since Campbell was in my Daycare class but she and Campbell never left my heart. She was one of my SPECIAL Moms she loved me from day 1 and I loved Campbell and her from day 1.
When I heard she was sick I started Praying for her healing and for her husband and babies. She painted me a plate for for Christmas that I have not put up with the rest of my Christmas stuff since she has been sick and I never will put up that will always make me think of her.
During this summer I saw Angel at the ballpark and she looked so beautiful had such a positive attitude.I told her it was a God thing that I saw her because I had just in the last few days been thinking of her so and just could her off my mind. I told her about the plate I had out and she being the Angel she was said that she would paint me one that was not Christmas if I wanted to leave it out and I told her I was happy with the one I had.
Like I said early I was not an active part of her life but she was an active thought in mine and I was blessed to have known her and to love her and her family and I will NEVER forget her.
Love, Leann Nix

Every once in a while, if you are fortunate, you will meet someone special, someone who not only professes to be a Christian, but someone who truly understands and believes. An athletic with exceptional God-given talent would be labeled phenomenal, a blue chipper, a natural. When it comes to living as a Christian, facing adversity head-on, not succumbing to self-pity but remaining strong in her true Christianity, Angel was phenomenal, a blue chipper, a natural. Everyone who has been fortunate enough to have known Angel will never forget her Christian spirit which will live forever in their hearts. We will miss you, Angel, but we will never forget you.

Johnny, Campbell Jack, Gabrielle, and Saylor Grace, Jack and Dottie, Glen and Chuck; My heart is broken with the sarrow of your loss. My spirit celebrates the victory that Angel now has being with our Father in Heaven. Angel's spirit will live on forever. She will be with you in the morning, noon and night. Keep your faith strong and know that God's mission for Angel has just begun. Below is a verse from John that I would like to share with you (John 14 1-3). Know that when Jesus returns that your Angel, now your Guardian Angel, will be with him in full force. My thoughts and prayers will remain with you. With all my love, Billy

"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; and believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that. I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you unto myself, that where I am you may be also. (John 14, 1-3)
