Angel TOMPKINS Obituary
Age 42, of Ottawa, formerly of Gypsum Mines, NS. Passed away peacefully on March 5, 2015 in the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital, Ottawa, with family by her side. Born in Windsor, NS, she was the youngest daughter of Ronald and Nora (Spencer) Tompkins. Angel fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer. She never complained. She showed an incredible will to live and enjoyed every moment she had, a testament to who she was. She looked forward to her visits back home in Nova Scotia, was an avid sports enthusiast, and loved poetry. Angel especially liked to watch hockey, particularly her beloved Montreal Canadiens. Besides her parents, she is survived by her longtime companion, Tim Balfour, Ottawa; sisters Linda (Damien) Noonan, Travellers Rest, PEI and Nancy (Keith) Kersey, High Point, NC; a brother, Steven, Gypsum Mines; nieces Heather Noonan, Travellers Rest, PEI, Stacy Noonan, Summerside, PEI, and Kara (Ryan) Pinkerton, Hawthorn, Australia; nephew, Spencer Kersey, High Point, NC; and great- nephew Avery O'Brien, Summerside, PEI. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date in the Armitage Cemetery, Lower Burlington, NS. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

I had the pleasure of working with Angel years ago. She was a very positive woman. She always had nice things to say about everyone. My heart is sad knowing that she is gone. May you RIP Angel. Will miss you!
