1963 - 2014
Angela Regina Stewart-Cantwell, age 50, lived in Milwaukie, Oregon and passed away unexpectedly in Fountain Hills, Arizona on June 26, 2014.
Angela was born in Eugene, Oregon on September 27, 1963. She attended Churchill High School and graduated with the class of 1981. She attended Oregon State University and graduated in l986 with a Bachelor's degree in Education/minor in Early Childhood Education. She went on and earned her Master's degree years later. She was a member of Tri Delta sorority and loved the college experience. She immediately began her teaching career at O'Hara Catholic School in Eugene. She moved to Portland and spent 1986-2003 working in the Centennial School District teaching K-3 children. She worked in the North Clackamas, Lake Oswego and Multnomah School districts from 2003-current.
Angela was passionate about teaching children and was most fulfilled in the classroom or with her two beautiful daughters, Katrina and Breanna, who she loved with all her heart. She was happiest in the sunshine sunbathing with her favorite tanning oil "coconut willie".
Angela is survived by her two daughters: Katrina Marie Cantwell; Breanna Lauren Cantwell, and their father Anthony Cantwell. Angela's mom, Annette Marie Stewart, preceded her death December 1995. Gene Stewart and her five siblings: Steven Stewart, Jeanette Baack-Lowry, Tracy Dennis, Tim Stewart, and Julie Jackson; along with dozens of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles will surely miss her at the annual holiday gatherings, cuz'n club campouts & spring break beach escapes.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 10th at 12:15pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eugene. A lunch & celebration of life will immediately follow at the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at any US Bank where an account has been set up under the Adella & Hugh Fund, LLC for Katrina and Breanna's college fund. Angela's grandparents were both educators and started a fund for each of their grandkids and great grandchildren.

Angie - Your language came directly from the heart and spoke directly to the heart. A natural teacher blessed with an innate ability & desire to reach out with great compassion & help those that others consider beyond reach. No matter how many years would pass, we've had & always will have an unspoken bond, an inexplicable closeness that I hold close to my heart.
I've already felt your comforting, inspiring energy with me strongly. -In the name of Angie & her Mother Annette (who passed at 11:11, the numbers representing enlightenment), I pose the simple question; what is enlightenment? Is it just mystical mumbo-jumbo, or something real, tangible & attainable ?

I wish I had words that reflected the beauty and kindness you added to the world...nothing in my limited vocabulary seems adequate or does justice to all the incredible colors that you seemed to bring to your world..they were vibrant and warm..they brought happiness and joy to all those you touched in your way to brief life..it seems to soon to write words of remembrance..maybe its why i cant find the right one's..I do know that the world is a little less bright without you. I never had the opprotunity to repay some recent kind words..I'm so sorry..thought we had time. Your a beautiful angel..and now heaven is a better place..shine bright my friend..peace and love.

Ang ... every sunflower I ever see will remind me of you. I was blessed to have you as one of my best firends for nearly 20 years. A teacher, a great neighbor, an awesome friend .. and a life saver! When my daughter was 2 she choked on a noodle ... my son called 911 and Ang did the heimlich. My daughter is now 20 .. Ang never left our side except to take care of my son. I regret the years that passed that we did not see each other or talk as often as we should have. Every memory of Arizona will always include you. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Your girls will always be reminded of how much you loved them ... no matter what! Dance in heavn like we did at Salsa lessons ... save me a seat! Who would have thought when I drooped you at home on June 7th that it would be the last hug and kiss we would share. Until we are together again .... your forever firend
