Angelica Marie Bravo

On Monday, July 8, 2024, Angelica Marie Bravo passed away in Sacramento, CA at the young age of 28 years. She was born on April 13, 1996, in Sacramento, CA.

Angelica is survived by her children Nathalia, Athena and Mateo, her mother Dawn (Leo) Bodea, father Phillip Bravo, grandparents Gilbert and Carol Bravo and Helen Sakaishi, brothers Gilbert and Isaac Bravo, sisters Cecelia Spencer and Lumina Bodea, uncles Paul, Jeff (Mari) and Michael Bravo, Thomas and Mitchell Sakaishi. She was predeceased by her baby brother, Mateo Bravo, and her grandfather Timothy (Tokuno) Sakaishi.



Angelica grew up in Elk Grove, CA, playing soccer from a young age. She was a spectacular goalie and helped her team win numerous tournaments. She worked hard to graduate from William Daylor High School in 2014. She became a licensed cosmetologist after graduating from Mixed Institute of Cosmetology and Barber. She went on to work as a hair and makeup stylist at Ulta, and later as an independent contractor doing hair and makeup for numerous hair and fashion shows. She found her people at Textures by Brian Hoshall where she furthered her knowledge of color theory and honed her artistic abilities. She continued building her career and became an Instructor at Federico's Beauty Institute. She most recently came back full circle as an Instructor at Mixed Institute of Cosmetology & Barber where she had earned her degree in cosmetology. She was, in her words, "back at home." She was fondly known to her students as Ms. Angel. She was excited to take the school to new levels and usher in the next generation of talented cosmetologists. She loved animals, especially her loyal pocket bully "Ice Bear" and she was determined to have a turtle sanctuary when she retired. Her striking beauty, vibrant personality, sharp wit, and her generosity and kindness toward others were just a few of the many things that made her so special.

Her services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery and Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820, on Monday, August 12, 2024, for the Vigil from 5 pm to 8 pm. On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, there will be a viewing from 9 am and the Funeral Mass will be from 10 am with the Burial at 11 am.

A reception will follow at 12:30 pm at Msgr Patrick Corkell Memorial Hall at 5685 14th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95820.
