Angelina Colon

Angelina Colon, age 74, of Springfield passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 26, 2019. She was born on May 3, 1945 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico. She was number 3 of 12 children and was predeceased by her parents Pablo and Marcola Colon. She is survived by her beloved sons. Modesto Nunez, his wife Marisol of Wilbraham, and Jose Nunez of Springfield, her two grandsons Jonathan and Joshua Nunez and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her 11 siblings, Marcelo Colon (Marisol), Jose Colon, Sergio Colon, Daniel Colon (Diana), Emma Colon (David Panciera), Maria Hansen (Glenn), Olga Fuentes (Felix), Samuel Colon (Maribel Martinez), Rosa Colon, Juan Colon (Alecia), Norma Ruiz (Luis). She is also loved by 20 nieces and nephews and 17 grand nephews and grand nieces. Angelina was cherished by her other family, the congregation at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal El Siloe; there she rejoiced among people who loved her. She cooked for church activities, traveled to El Salvador on church missions and enjoyed visiting other churches in and out of state. A Funeral Service will be held on Tues, July 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Sampson Chapel of the Acres 21 Tinkham Rd. Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held on Tues, July 30, 2019 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. “We will always carry your memory in our hearts”.
