Angeline Chase Obituary
1916-2013 Angeline Chase died peacefully at home on January 9, 2013.
She was born in Pittsfield on November 14, 1916, the daughter of Bortolo Bertelli and Annunciata Dainesi Bertelli.
After graduating from Adams High School she completed Berkshire Business College. Upon retiring from General Electric, she pursued her love of gardening and shared her time with family and friends.
As a lifelong resident of Berkshire Village, she was an active member of the Chapel of North American Martyrs.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Ernest G. Chase, her stepson, Lawrence Chase, and her sister, Elizabeth Tatro.
She leaves a son and daughter, Ernest and Elizabeth Chase; a daughter-in-law, Norma Chase; her granddaughters, Marsha Vinette and Karen Rollins; and a son-in-law, David Katz. She is also survived by her nephews,William, Robert, and Thomas Tatro; and two nieces, Caroline Davis and Janet Hernandez.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Angeline Chase will be held at Cheshire Cemetery at a later date and time to be announced. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Chase may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire.

Betsy and Ernie - I am so sorry to learn of Angie's passing. She was a great neighbor,friend and gardener. A friend from Cheshire called today to tell me of her demise. I have missed you all and Angie in my 10 yrs in the south.

What a beautiful picture of the woman I was pleased to call my friend. I have so many happy memories of sitting next to Angie in choir, of her acerbic wit, of her beautiful garden and of visiting her after we left the Berkshires. She was a friend and an example to us of how to grow old in age but not in spirit. I was sad to hear of her death, but happy that she was able to maintain her independence to the end. Her little corner of Berkshire will always say "Angie" to me and I will always picture her in her garden. Heaven will bloom with her presence.

Angie was a wonderful, beautiful woman and we will miss her, especially her spontaneous laughter. She never spoke an unkind word. Heaven is her resting place.
