Angeline “Angie” Kruzicki, age 90 of Bear Creek passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.
The former Angeline Mae Sommers was born on March 15, 1933, to Frank and Evelyn (Young) Sommers in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, and grew up in the Hortonville area. She was united in marriage on May 30, 1953, to Leonard “Larry” Kruzicki at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stephensville. In her early days, she worked for a few years at Zwicker Knitting Mills. The couple owned and operated for some time Kruzicki’s Tavern in Shiocton. Then she began helping out her husband on their hog farm in the Town of Deer Creek. Angie worked hard side-by-side with her husband for many years, until retiring in the early 1990’s.
Angie was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek, where she was active in the PCCW and with numerous other church projects. She was also involved for a number of years with the National Farmers Organization.
Angie always enjoyed the outdoors, whether going fishing or growing the biggest flowers and vegetables in her garden. She had a few fabulous farm dogs and she always loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Larry; and three children, Wayne Kruzicki, Thomas (Linda) Kruzicki, and Susan (Mike) Meshke. There are three grandchildren, Cory (Heather) Kruzicki, Jeremy Kruzicki, Andrew (Heather) Kruzicki. There are five great grandchildren: Gavin, Aydan, Brynn, Everett, and Aubrey Kruzicki. She is further survived by a sister, Janice Lawson; sisters-in-law, Jan and Bonnie Sommers and Carol (Myron) Kruzicki; brothers-in-law, Myron Kruzicki and Dick Volkman; and special in-home care giver, Barbara Kosbab. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn son Robert; seven brothers, Leon (Barbara), Kenneth, Francis (Janice), Daniel, Raymond, Arthur, and Robert; a sister, Rita (John) Woods. She was further preceded by her in laws, Basil and Frances (Susie) Kruzicki; her brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas (Helena) Kruzicki; brother-in-law, Thomas Lawson; sisters-in-law, Barbara Volkman and Betty Bunnell; nephew Dennis (Sally) Kruzicki; and two nieces, Paula Guyette and Cathy Wunderlich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Fr. Simon Minyati will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church. Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family. Angie was such a sweet and gentle soul. Always such a happy lady and always so accommodating. She was also a great cook. She will be so missed especially that lovely smile.
