Angelo Joseph Lami

ANGELO JOSEPH LAMI Passed away on December 22, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a lengthy illness. Angelo was born November 19, 1927 in Millbrae, CA, to Joseph and Elisa (Benedetti) Lami. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Claire (Dempsey) Lami of South Jordan, Utah, sons, R. Jerry (Janice Groshak) Lami of Redwood City, CA, Anthony (Rosanne Fitzgerald) Lami and Michael (Robin Keller) Lami of Sandy, Utah, daughter, Laura Lami of South Jordan, Utah and sister, Yole Lami of Folsom, CA. Angelo was blessed with four grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Katie and Morgan. Angelo graduated from San Mateo High School, Class of 1945, where he was an outstanding player on the tennis team. From 1945 through 1947, he served in the Army and was stationed in Japan and Guam. In 1951, he graduated with honors from Santa Clara University. Angelo was employed by William Wallace Company and Wallace Murray Corporation for 30 years as an accountant and controller. After retiring as an accountant, he and Maureen moved to Folsom, CA and opened Round Table Pizza Restaurants in Folsom and Orangevale, CA and Sandy and Taylorsville, Utah. Angelo and Maureen relocated to South Jordan, Utah in September of 2002 and enjoyed spending much of their leisure time at the family vacation home at South Lake Tahoe. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2003, starting at 6:30 p.m. with Rosary at 8:00 p.m. at Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Road, Redwood City, CA. A funeral Mass will be said on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius Church, 1100 Woodside Road, Redwood City. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
