Anita L. McIntyre

MOUNT CARMEL — Anita L. McIntyre, 66, of 125 S. Pine St., passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Mount Carmel Oct. 28, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Ann (Narcavage) Saweikis.

She moved back to Mount Carmel in 1979 after living in Flushing, New York, for 25 years.

She was retired from Verizon where she was employed as a customer service representative.

She graduated from high school in Flushing.

Anita was a member of the Roman Catholic faith. She was a life member of the Clover Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary where she was currently serving as treasurer and a member of the Anthracite Fire Company.

She enjoyed going to the casinos, was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was always on the go.

Survivors include a son, Matthew Lindstrom, of Wilkes-Barre; a daughter, Alysia Kauffman and her husband, Jonathan, of Mount Carmel; her companion, John Henninger, with whom she resided; a grandson, Cody Kauffman, and three granddaughters, Kayleigh, Brieanna and Kiersten Lindstrom; a great-grandson, Jude Ramos; a brother, John Saweikis, of Camp Hill, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Shepard, and a brother, Phillip Saweikis.

MCINTYRE — Anita L. McIntyre, 66, of 125 S. Pine St., Mount Carmel. Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to attend a visitation with the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
