Anita L. Townsend

Anita Louise Townsend was born December 18, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri to Mrs. Bernice Thompson and Wesley Higgins. Her mother, Bernice Thompson, step-father, Aaron Thompson, and sister, Phyllis Harvey preceded her in death. Anita confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, joined Total Praise and Worship Center and was baptized. She was a faithful member. Anita was employed by the University of Missouri, St. Louis for 10 years. Anita left University of Missouri last summer due to illness. Anita was united in Holy Matrimony to Jerome Townsend on March 28, 1992. To that union was born three children, Angela Townsend, Kendra Townsend and Jaron Townsend. Anita leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and devoted husband, Jerome Townsend, two daughters, Angela (Ronald) May and Kendra Townsend, and son, Jaron Townsend of St. Louis, MO; mother-in-law, Alice Townsend, three brothers, Frederick (Regina) Cummings; Derrick (Bobbie) Harvey of St. Louis, MO and Donald Harvey of East St. Louis, IL; one sister, Norma (Derrick) Thomas, two sisters-in-law, Linda Townsend and Juanita Reid, two brothers-in-law, Jimmie (Tina) White; and Eric White, one aunt, Elenora Bowen all of St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
