Ann ARCHAMBAULT Obituary

Published by Ottawa Citizen from Jan. 2 to Jan. 4, 2013.
ARCHAMBAULT, (Budreo) Ann Evelyn
Passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late F. Emslie (Bud) Budreo and the late Robert Archambault. Loving mother of Deborah Greenway (Donald) and Peter Budreo (Katherine Rintoul) and loving stepmother of Jane Rider (Peter). Cherished grandmother of Michelle Greenway-Gomera, Katherine Rider, Edward Rider, Geoffrey Budreo and Emma Budreo. Dear great- grandmother of Justin King. Treasured sister of Margret Bradley (the late John). Devoted aunt of Bill Bradley, James Bradley (Diane), Ian Bradley (Chris DeVaal), Jane Cashen, and Peter Cashen. Fondly remembered by her great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her dear sister Alice Cashen (the late Norman) and her special friend Gilbert Cook.
A life-long Ottawan, Ann was the youngest of three spirited daughters of Fred and Evelyn Lyons. Early on, she developed passions for sports and for knowledge, and she maintained both throughout her long life. Vivacious and intelligent, Ann surrounded herself with friends to whom she was unfailingly devoted. Her family, though, was her focus, and her love and support of them was constant. Energetic, dedicated and involved, Ann retained her vitality until the last of her days. She was wonderful in all the roles she played and led an exemplary life.
Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Friday, January 4 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service is at St. Bartholomew's Church, 125 MacKay Street on Saturday, January 5 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date in Beechwood Cemetery. Donations in Ann's memory to a charity of one's
choosing would be appreciated. Tributes, condolences or donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.

Deborah, I wanted to express my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother. I had wanted to come to the funeral home but I was sick with the flu over the holidays and didn't leave the house for several days. I know how difficult it is to lose a parent, even if they have lived long and full lives. There remains a hole in your heart, and the realization that one can't ever talk with one's mother ever again is so sad. Again, my condolences, and all the best to you....
