I do not remember very much about "Aunt Ann" except photos that I have when she was married to my Uncle Winston Watts many years ago, in the 40's if I remember correctly. I do remember she was a Grand Lady and always made me the Best Hamburger on this earth. In the early days all my family would meet at Marko's for Sunday meals. She will be missed but never forgotten by all that knew her and loved her.

I was saddened to hear of Ann's passing. She was one strong, spark plug of a woman with a never ending zest for life. I'm honored to have known her and have come to love her family as well. She was the ultimate story teller and I'm sure she'll be keeping all her family and friends in heaven entertained. My visits to our cabin across the street from her house will not quite be the same. But I will always remember her sweet voice, her soft skin, and her quickness to laugh. I'm certain she and my dad are swapping funny stories even now as I write this. The Beaty Family will miss you Ann. Rest in glorious eternal peace. Love, Sue.

Great-Grandma Ann:

Oh, how you will be missed. I rest easy knowing you are now with our Good Lord and are spreading your love and comfort among those you had previously lossed. I have nothing but fond memories of my times with you at the river. Playing with all your dolls, having Easter Egg Hunts, and mailny just being with you. You have left a magical impression on my life and I will forever hold your words and guidance close to my heart.
I love you Grandma Ann....

Dear Barbara and Truman, Dede, Galbreath and Shaddix Families,

I was very saddened to read online of your loss. Even though I am no longer in FL, I try to stay abreast of the happenings in the city I still call home. Of course, when I saw Galbreath, I immediately thought of Marko's Heritage Inn and I was right. Many fond memories of Marko's and the great recipes of Mrs. Galbreath. I still have her cookbook that Dede gave me many years ago.

She was very blessed to have had so many loving family members. And, I feel certain that each and everyone of you will carry your own special memories.

Big hugs to you Barbara, Truman and Dede. I miss you, but my prayers are with you all at this time.

Dear Dede and Family,

We are so sorry to hear of your Grandmother's loss. May the Lord keep you and all of her loved ones in his guidance as you endure this difficult time.

Such a large family, so many that love and cared for her. She is in very good hands now and free of the pain that riddled her body for so long.

Thank God for Grandmother's. I can still taste those Marko's and Aunt Catfish cinnamon rolls of your Grandmother's. We'll have to get together soon and make some in her memory.

Take care and all of our love, thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

Grandma Ann,
A smile upon your face as you enter the gates of Heaven...now, free of the pain you endured.
You leave so many loved ones behind here on this earth, but we shall all meet again, someday.
Little did they know, they now have the best cherry nut pie, sugar cookie, and cinnamon bun baker, macaroni and cheese preparer, and those homemade rolls...mouthwatering! Those were the good ole' days, Grandma, and I will treasure your memory forever!

Selfishly, I will miss you...but, know you are in the loving and caring hands of the Good Lord above...being "Grandma" to everyone beside you. Relish in your reuniting with some of those that loved you the most...but, know there are many here still left on this earth that love you, and will miss you greatly. I, for one...and many more behind me.

Rest in peace, Grandma! I love you...but, hold great comfort in your memory and all of the very special times shared with you, and our private chats on the phone. I know...MiMi to most, but always Grandma to me!! I love you!
