Ann Jack Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 4, 2021.
Ann Stegall Jack passed away on March 24, 2021 in Oak Park Heights, MN after a long battle with lymphoma. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on February 25, 1936. Frazier and Harriett Eales, her parents, raised Ann in Iowa while spending most summers in northern Minnesota. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in Art and master's degree in Library Science from University of Colorado, Boulder. Ann was married to dentist Rodney Bane and then CU Boulder Business Professor Don Stegall, who pre-deceased her. Ann is survived by her husband, Bill Jack, who shared her love of Northern Minnesota, walleye fishing and marathon card games. While raising her family in Boulder, Ann taught art at Platt Junior High School and also was a member of Saint Aiden's Episcopal Church for many years, serving as lay Eucharist Minister. She was an avid reader; active in her beloved Boulder Bookclub 15+ years. She was an accomplished artist, cook, knitter, Jeopardy, and Gin Rummy player as well! Her life was blessed with 2 sons; Alex Bane (Carol) and Andy Bane (Lisa), and 4 step-daughters; Lisa Stegall-Dokoozlian (Nick), Holly Stegall, Melissa Seeforth, and Alison Greif, and 12 grandchildren. Her brother, Jack Eales, pre-deceases her. She was a dynamic, encouraging part of our lives and a wonderful role model to us all. We affectionately remember one of her favorite sayings: " Mahalo Lord". She will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Research Society (www.iwmf.com ) or Doctor ' s Without Borders (doctorswithoutborders.org ).
