Ann Marie Ovian

Ann Marie of Crystal River, FL, formerly of Uxbridge Sudbury and Vero Beach, FL died peacefully on September 29, 2013. Ann was born on May 8, 1931 in Milford. Ann graduated from Uxbridge High School in 1948, and Salter Secretarial School in Worcester in 1950. During this time she worked at Uxbridge Worsted Mill. After marrying in 1951, she spent more than 20 years as a homemaker raising her five children. In 1974 she went back to work outside the home at Arrowhead Nurseries in Weston,, then at Arnold Greene Testing Lab in Natick, and finally at Lumber Mutual Insurance in Framingham, where she was head of the typing department for many years. Ann is predeceased by her father Raymond Joseph Joe Smart and her mother Ann L. (Russell) Smart. Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years Stephen of Crystal River, FL; Her five children: Nancy A. McLean of Westborough, Donna O. Courtney and her husband Thomas of El Cajon, CA, Stephen M. Ovian and his wife Jean Bruney of Danville, CA, Kathy S. Gilman and her husband Richard of Crystal River, FL, and Lisa M. Anderson and her husband Steven of Westbrook, CT; thirteen grandchildren; Andrew McLean and his wife Heather, Matthew McLean, Jennifer Toomey and her husband William, James, Stephen, and Katherine Courtney, Joshua, Rachel and Benjamin Alford, Megan Bertocchi, Kyle Bertocchi and his wife Jennifer, Henry and Charles Anderson; and three great grandchildren; Carina, William and Hailey Toomey. Anns family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Diamond Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lecanto, FL for their dedication and quality of care for Ann, and support and friendship to her husband Steve. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11 AM. at the Armenian Apostolic Church, 315 Church Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588, with reception immediately following at the church.
