AUTRYVILLE — Mrs. Ann Hall Owens, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023 surrounded by family after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, at the AH Hall Family Cemetery on Yellowskin Road in Autryville. The family will be at Mrs. Owens' home, located at 4474 Autryville Road, Autryville, NC on Friday, March 24, at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Owens was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of John C. and Bertie Faircloth Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents, John C Hall and Bertie Faircloth Hall; her sister, Sue McNeill; and her very special dog, Ellie.
Mrs. Owens graduated as salutatorian from Sampson community college in the office systems technology program in May 2005. She was employed close to 40 years in a manufacturing plant, Rohm and Haas where she was a supervisor for many years over the chemical lab. She had many special friendships from her workplace and high school that she continued with until she passed away. She absolutely loved her family. If she wasn't at work, she could be found outside in her 6-acre yard on her favorite lawn mower. Her favorite saying was "It is what it is."
She is survived by 3 of her 4 sisters, Honesta Tyndall, Faye Cashwell and husband Reuben, Pat Wallace and husband Glenn. Mrs. Owens is also survived by her two daughters, Bobbie Anne Logan and husband Ryan, and Sue Owens Toler; five grandchildren, Kevin Helms and wife Beckie, Matthew Faircloth and wife Sara, Kortnee Anne and husband Brian, Laura Owens, and Monica Owens; 16 great-grandchildren, Eithan, Emma, Owen, Cooper, Kelci, Matthew, Greyson, Evalynn Aerot, Jesse, Edwin, Christopher, Victor, Maryann, Elizabeth, Bryan, and Juan; and a bunch of wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
