About
Anna Marchant Obituary
She was born on October 23, 1940, to the late Ira and Lorinda (Retcher) Brink in Defiance, Ohio. She was a 1958 graduate of Holgate High School. On November 13, 1976, she married Charles Marchant who preceded her in death on January 17, 2014.
Anna was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. She worked for several years at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon and at LaChoy in Archbold. She enjoyed country music, yard work and picking on someone. Anna treasured her time spent with her family.
Anna is survived by her loving children, Sharon Ward of Defiance, Barbara (Scott) Slagter of Casnovia, Michigan, Janis (Joe) Ramey of Bradner, Ohio, and David Marchant of Defiance. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marchant, grandson, Carl Ray Priddy, great-grandson, Matthew Netcher Priddy and her brother, Kenneth Brink.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Schaffer Funeral Home with celebrant, Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery.
