Anna Papa Obituary
Anna Coppola Papa, 95, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16th, 2023, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Papa, Sr. Anna was born in East Haven on February 7, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Gambardella Coppola. Mother of Carol A. Degley, Joseph C. (Nancy) Papa, Jr. and the late Margaret E. Chiaraluce. Grandmother of Lawrence Degley, Christopher, Mathew and Adam Papa, Eric Chiaraluce. Mother-in-law of David R. Chiaraluce. Sister of Betty Streeto, James Coppola, Anthony Coppola (Phyllis) and the late Marie LaFogg, Ralph Coppola, Rose D'Amato, Margaret Canna, Joseph, John, Salvatore, William and Harry Coppola, Helen Lickteig. Sister-in-law of Barbara and Gloria Coppola. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Anna attended Gateway Community College, had worked in the purchasing department for Grand Light, was a member of the Jolly Timers, the Sages Women Club, and the Red Hatters.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc., 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405. www.northhavenfuneral.com

I met Anna when we worked together at Grand Light. She always was upbeat, gracious, and kind to all. Anna was a fashionista before her time and I admired her for all of her traits. I will always remember everything about her but most of all, I was honored to have met her during my time. Thanks Anna for always making me smile! May you rest easy......

Auntie Anna (my great-aunt) she was the sister of my grandfather Ralph, and my mom Jean´s first aunt, I remember when the family would get together at my grandparents home
In New Haven CT and it was always a great time!! She was loved and will always be, may she rest easy and in peace!!

Worked with Ann at Grand Light and happened to be doing her hair at the Artis home care ... she would tell everyone about the good times we had working together( she would say was her best times)... was an honor of making her beautiful till the end ... RIP Anna until we meet again

I am my aunt Anna`s niece and her brother Jimmy´s daughter Angela. I remember fondly visiting her family with mine at the end of Catherine Street and exploring the areas around her home. I will always remember my aunt Anna dressed beautifully with her hair always perfectly done up and in her high heels. She was a very classy woman and a wonderful aunt. We had talked several times before she went into the nursing home, and I will always remember her. She had such a great big personality as big things come in little packages. She definitely was very memorable to me and she will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Aunt Anna. You are now with our Lord, your beloved husband and daughter.

My sister Anne was loved by all she was a wonderful mother,grandmother, friend, neighbor. I spent many,many hours talking, laughing with her. Anne now is in gods arms with her family which meant so much to her.May you rest peacefully.
