Anna Peck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 8, 2024.
Anna Laurene Peck, born November 14, 1988 to Brian Davis Peck and Judy Ainsworth, passed away, much too young, January 5, 2024.

Anna is preceded in death by her beloved sister Melanie. She had grieved and missed her big sister terribly. We know this was a beautiful reunion. We find comfort in that. Anna is survived by her younger sister and best friend, Meri-Elizabeth, whom, as a child, Anna lovingly nicknamed Buffy. Anna had a special bond with her niece, Eliana, Melanie's daughter. She loved to spend time with all of her nieces and nephews and loved them dearly. Anna loved family. She is survived by her older siblings, David(Jill); Sam, Eli. Kathryn(Matt); Aria, Jase. Ken; Greta, Jennie, Nathan. Karen(Ange); Berlynne, Celeste. Janice; Kenyon, Adia, Jaden, Ashon.

Anna gave birth to a son, that she lovingly named Brian Jr. She selflessly placed him in an open adoption with wonderful parents. Little Brian was born during a difficult time in Anna's life and she wanted to ensure he had a stable loving home. She loved being able to visit with him and his parents.

Annie, or Anna-Banana, as her family often called her, loved and adored all things family. We know many reunions are taking place on the other side with those she loved most. She will be happy to once again tease and laugh with her Grandpa Ed, as she was so fond of doing here. Annie loved to watch Utes and Jazz games with her Dad. She was a Daddy's girl through and through. She was an avid Utes fan, and you could often hear the cheering and yelling for miles. Annie had a wild Peck streak that loved mischief and being in cahoots with her sisters and cousins. Many shenanigans, adventures, and singing times were had in the name of family bonding. Annie battled difficult struggles for many years, especially after the loss of her beloved sister, Melanie. We know there is healing and peace for her on the other side of the veil surrounded by her family and in the arms of our Savior and Heavenly Father.

Graveside services will be held at Valley View Cemetery (far west side) Wednesday, January 10th, at 1pm.

The Peck Family are such raw, good hearted people. They are such an interesting bunch much like Full House.

I give them all my love and support during this time. I also give them all my respects and hope that they can find the strength to get through this tough time in their lives.

Sister, I don't know what to say, my heart is broken. I am sorry for the pain and suffering you had on this earth. It feels like your life never really began. The only comfort is knowing that you are finally out of pain and being comforted by our family and that when we see each other again it will be without the chains of this world. I love you sister.

Annie, in her own way, is a lovable, funny character. I have barely got the chance to know and interact with her, yet there were moments that I enjoyed together. Game nights with her was fun, especially when we all huddled up to play cards against humanity together. While we didn't agree on alot of things, we all seemed to share a similar humor and that was like sharing a family meal together. It was nice and comforting while it lasted. It was just nice to be in that space with Annie, Meri, and everyone else.

There were some things Annie would say in conversation that stuck with me. It is as if her lived experiences somehow took out your own emotions about that particular topic...it was strange but impactful.

Annie and Meri looked out for each other and that's the kind of sibling love that should always be around no matter the circumstances.

Her passing was just so unexpected and upsetting...it's like she was just finishing up a few slices of pizza and the next her voice isn't heard anymore...it is just a strange feeling and I give all my love as well as my condolences to the Peck family.

Thank you Annie as well as Meri for showing and letting me into your family.

Hopefully, to some extent, Annie liked having my company too.
