Mrs. Ryan, wife of the late Andrew Heidt Ryan Sr., died April 10, 2011. Born December 17, 1920, in Boardman, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Paul Judson and Mary Bertha Ward Britt. She was long-standing member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Dianne Light (Bob) of Columbia, Carole Bartlette (Joe) of Summerton, Andrew H. Ryan Jr. (Mary) of Manassas, Va., Veronica Hunter of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Charles Madry Britt of Newport News, Va., Frances Friedman and Patti Tisdall, both of Columbia. She was predeceased by siblings, Bernice Hitchcock, Lucian and Judson Britt.
