Anne Myers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2025.
Anne Szesny Myers passed away peacefully at home March 18th, 2025. Anne was born October 29th, 1967 and spent her early years in Chicago. Anne was the bright light in every room she entered. She was always up for an adventure; one of her favorites was driving across the country to Florida with her sister Barb. They were wild and crazy and sang all the way. Her favorite movie was "When Harry met Sally" and she loved reciting all the funny lines from it.

She found her way to Utah and into the life and heart of Lenard Myers and they were married October 29th, 2000. She especially loved their trips to the ocean. They had many happy years together but not enough. Not only did Anne love Lenard but she loved animals and with Lenard she rescued many over the years. There were shop cats, outdoor cats and inside cats. She took it upon herself to see that these cats had shelter, were well fed and most importantly loved. If you knew Anne this needs no further explanation. She was the best mother to Mittens, Frankie and Winston.

To some, Anne sometimes came across as overly positive to the point of unbelievability, but this was truly Anne. While fighting her own battle with cancer she was calling, texting and offering prayers and words of encouragement to a friend who was watching her husband and Lenard's long-time good friend battle cancer. Even after being given only months to live Anne never lost that positive spark or attitude. In her heart she knew that she would no longer be here with those that she loved but would be in heaven with loved ones who had gone before her. She said that she would watch over those of us she had to leave behind. Anne was very spiritual and had a close relationship with her Heavenly Father.

Anne loved life to the fullest she had a fun sense of humor and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her sisters Barb Evans, Suzanne Grow, Kim Otto, Linda Meade and her beloved Mittens, Frankie, Winston and her loving best friend and husband Lenard Myers.

There will be a celebration of Anne's life at 6:00 pm April 15th, 2025, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 8600 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah.

Lenard would like to extend a special thanks to Barb and all of the good people at Trinity Lutheran Church.

We are so saddened to hear that Anne passed away. She was a beacon of light in our community. Our heartfelt condolences go out to you Leonard, hoping that you find the support, help, and blessings that Anne so willing shared with others. She was a fighter and taught me a few things about standing up for those who were less fortunate. Anne will be sorely missed. God bless you and your family...
