Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 10 to Jan. 15, 2023.
Anne "Nancy" Hofford, 94, passed away peacefully on December 25th, 2022, in Phoenix, AZ. Born in Boston on May 12, 1928, Nancy married Harry R Hofford, Jr., her husband of 50 years in 1949 and went on to have 4 children, residing in several states before finally setting home in Phoenix in 1968. Nancy had a zest for life, an affinity for community service and contributed to many local women's organizations, including serving as President of Florence Crittenton and President of the Brophy's Mothers Guild. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she still found time to explore her interests. Her cooking talent was awarded 3rd place in the 1972 National Chicken Cooking Contest. Nancy was an avid bridge player, enjoyed dance and golf, and was a member of the Arizona Country Club. In the 1980's, Nancy pursued her entrepreneurial path, founding Promotional Marketing Services, Inc . Known for her commitment to customers and her tenacity in business, she successfully ran her company for 30 years before retiring in her eighties.

Stoic by nature, Nancy exuded kindness and class, and was adored by all who met her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a strong and vibrant woman. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Harry Hofford, granddaughter, Andria Ligas and daughter, Susan (Hofford) Schneiter. Nancy is survived by her children, Carol, Harry "Buzz", and Steven Hofford; her grandchildren, Max, Adam and Jessica Schneiter, Summer (Hofford) Kulshrestha, Casey Hofford, and Hannah (Hofford) Swett and her great-granddaughter, Heidi Schneiter. A mass will be held on Saturday, Jan 28th at 10:30 am at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ.
