Loss of a lovely kind lady
I first met Anne in 1981 when we first joined the St Leonards Bridge Club on almost the same day. Anne used to partner another lady called Anne Forrest and they played Bridge very frequently, not just locally but at Bridge events throughout the South East. Anne Forrest died some years ago and I did not see Anne Scott very often. When we did meet, usually at a supermarket, Anne greeted me with her lovely smile and she made me feel as though meeting me was the highlight of her day. She usually had an elderly or infirm person with her and Anne was helping with the shopping. Often Anne was on her own doing the shopping for those who could not get out.
Anne was one of those rare people who really cared for others more than she did for herself.
Anne was a wonderful cook and her pastrymaking was legendary. Her dogs were the loves of her life and phe just sparkled when she was talking about them. I hope they are well. You will be sadly missed Dear Anne. Rest In Peace.
With love.
