Anne E. (Reynolds) Shilale, formerly of Holden, MA passed away with her family by her side on September 6th after a long illness, she was 86.

Anne was born in Worcester, MA on April 5, 1939 and was the daughter of James (Lesley) and Bessie Reynolds. Anne grew up in Holden and was a proud graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing.

Anne was married to William Shilale (who predeceased her in 2020) in February 1962 and had three children, her daughter, Gayle A. Appleby, and her husband Scott of Darien; three grandchildren Colten, Austen, and Cameron; her son James W. Shilale and his wife Kathryn of Medfield; her granddaughter Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her daughter Debra Shilale of Holden.

Anne practiced as a nurse at Worcester State Hospital for many years following her graduation from nursing school. She left to raise her family and returned to nursing in the Holden Public Schools and Worcester State Hospital where she later retired. As a young mother, Anne coached her daughters in softball and later became active in community service with the Jaycee's organization. Anne enjoyed many great friendships, was an avid golfer, participated in both investment and book groups. She and her husband enjoyed travelling, visiting their grandchildren and gathering with their dear friend group fondly called the "Nantucket Alumni Association".

Funeral Services for Anne will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Holden, MA at 11:00 on Saturday, October 4th.

The family asks that donations be made in Anne's memory to The Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org in lieu of flowers.
