Annetta Cammaert

CAMMAERT _ Annetta Born in Didsbury, July 3, 1917, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Drumheller, December 11, 2004. Annetta is survived by her daughters, Charlotte McLean and Sheila Christensen; daughters-in-law, Donna Cammaert and Lynn Munro; sisters-in-law, Margaret Cammaert, Madeline Plotnikoff and Emma Sheils; one sister Beatrice Pack. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris (James) Douglas, Bonnie (Dereck) Louw, Melany (Rob) Speed, Norine (Shawn) Kathol, Heather (Darren) Muenchrath, Gerry (Julz) McLean, Lynetta (Bob) Thiessen, Judy (Ross) White, Doug McLean, Lee Christensen, Danna (Ken) Wood, Ronald Christensen, Jim Cammaert, Corri (Wade) Schmuland; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gerry, 1973; sons, James, 1940, Bruce, 1952, Arthur, 1975, and Bryan, 2002; two sons-in-law, Roy Christensen and Bruce McLean. She graduated from Calgary Normal School in 1937, she taught school in Linden, then moved to teach in the Rockyford area, where she met Gerry and married in 1940. She taught at the Standard School for many years and retired in 1978. Mom was an active member of the Royal Purple, Rockyford Seniors, C.W.L., Ladies Auxiliary and Lioness Club. Annetta also enjoyed writing the Rockyford News for the Strathmore Standard for many years, curling, ceramics and painting. Prayers will be held Thursday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Rockyford. Funeral Service will take place Friday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m., St. Rita's Catholic Church, Rockyford. Interment to follow in the St. Rita's Catholic Cemetery.
