Annette Bentley

Annette McGlamery Bentley, 60, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Trade, Tenn., to the late James Raymond and Jessie Neatherly McGlamery. Ms. Bentley was a lead person for Bernhardt Furniture. She was a loving mother, friend and sister. She was her daughter's best friend, and was a special person who was loved by many. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Bentley is survived by her daughter, Shannon Meliea Bentley; a special friend for 33 years, James "Reb" Reavis; three sisters, Reba Hartzog (Wayne), Emily Shatley and Betty Trivette, all of Lenoir; a brother, Hayden McGlamery, of Trade, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Virgie McGlamery, of Trade, and Betty McGlamery, of Tampa, Fla.; three nieces; seven nephews; three great-nieces; and six great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bentley was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Ray McGlamery. A memorial service for Ms. Bentley will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Barrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1023, Statesville, NC 28687-1023.
