Annette is one of my main encouragers to become an educator. I first worked with her as a substitute during a health crisis. She loved her students and me through that year! I will miss her smile and her wit. Much love to her children and grandchildren.

I will miss Annette. We taught together at Captain John Smith for several years and always seemed to always find reasons to turn all situations into reasons for laughter! She was such a great teacher, coworker and friend. My love and prayers go out to her family.

To The Haynes family and Mrs. Darnell and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember Mrs. Darnell telling me stories about Annette. They shared a very, very special bond as sisters that most have never had. And for Zoe and Asha, you were the world to her! Always, always look back at all the wonderful memories that you have made with her! It will help you through when times get to hard. Again, I am so sorry. God bless you all!
