I just came across this. Ms. Kuligowski (and Ms. Awe) were absolute inspirations and role models to me. I will be forever grateful to Ms. Kuligowski for modeling strength, independence, intelligence, and artistic passion. G-d bless.

Miss K was a teacher who was one of my most memorable students. She was straight forward and honest.

Was in Miss K's speech class in high school. Didn't do that well in speech but, it was compulsory during that era. She was always very enthusiastic about speech, acting and dancing. Sad to hear of her passing.

My deepest condolences to her family. I was lucky enough to dance under Annette's direction in KPD for 10 years in my youth and then again in 2010 as a "recycled" dancer and I treasure each moment and memory. I was such a shy kid when I started and through her learned to "work the stage and crowd". I still use techniques she taught me today to give speeches or working as a wench at the renaissance fair (which she though was wonderful). Most of all I appreciate her friendship and the friendship of those I met through her. She will be missed but she's playing again with Sharon Awe and I'm sure there are a lot of Polkas going on in heaven.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Annette. I was a member of the Krakow Polish Dancers and learned what hard work and dedication Miss K instilled in all of us as performers. Many great memories dancing and even playing my accordion along side Annette. Performed at the the first Summerfest.

I am so sorry to learn of the death of my high school teacher, Ms. (well, we would have said "Miss" back then) Kuligowski. She was a good teacher and had a great sense of humor.

I've known Miss K since I was 4 and she was my first dance instructor. Who knew 9 years later I would rejoin her when I became a member of KPD. In 1974 she would take us to Poland for an experience of a lifetime. She was demanding in rehearsals but only because she wanted us all to shine and be proud Poles. RIP Annette, I will miss you.

I had Miss Kuligowski for speech back in 1972 I believe it was. She is one of my teachers I have never forgotten! She was a strong teacher!

Being a member of Miss K's Krakow Polish Dancers was a cherished part of my life and expression of pride for the Polish heritage. She was one of a kind, and her passion and dedication sang through her accordion. Miss K made sure we always had smiles on our faces and interacted with the audience. It bought her the greatest joy when we performed at nursing homes and could brighten the days and spirits of the residents. Id z Bogiem... I am sure heaven is ready for a polka!

Polish dance was in Annette's blood and her love for many, many years! In the 50's there was a dance group called the SPA Polish Dancers and we met on 13th and Oklahoma! I then followed her to another group, before the Krakow Polish Dancers, but by the time she formed that group I was married and having children. I remember all the performances and the costumes and she was always there with words of encouragement. She loved the dance!!!!!
