Annette was my favorite soloist in various operas which I produced at my small theatre in downtown Washington DC She was also a treasured friend. I think about her often and miss the times we shared together. I still hae a small desk that I got from her when she moved. She was such a wonderful mother as well as one of the best artists in the area. She was loved.

I have just learned that Annette is no longer here on earth with us but in heaven with the God who created such a beautiful, spirit filled and amazing musician. Several of her friends here had been looking for her for many weeks. I last saw Annette when she was soloist at my son's wedding and what a glorius moment that was for me, my family and all who heard her. She and I had a long and fulfilling relationship, dating back to her daughter, Monica's youth. As a producer/music director at a musical theater/opera center in Washington, DC, it was my pleasure and joy to cast Annette as principal singer in several operas and musicals including the Washington DC premiere of HIGHWAY I USA, by William Grant Still and George Gershwin's immortal, PORGY AND BESS. But Annette did much more than sing. She was a truly creative artist and she used her organizational abilities to produce several concerts at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and other venues. She was such a positive and dynamic force here and I will always, always cherish the privilege of knowing and working with her. I know that there will be a host of musicians and artists in this area who will join me in planning a Washington DC tribute to Annette Poulard. She was highly respected and loved here and she will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry and sadden to here of your loss. I know my late mother, Ollie Mae Smith of Marshall, Texas would express the same thing because of her love for the family. My sister Evelyn saw it in the paper late Friday evening and called me to convey your loss. You are and will always remain in our prayers. Hold to God's Unchanging Hand, we will all have to see and meet him one day ourselves. Love you all.

Mrs. Pierson:
We will always have special memories of Annette especially those times when we were singing together at the many conventions. Also, the Youth Encampment during the Summers where Annette many times directed the youth Encampment choir. Annette was so talented and had many organizational skills. We all will miss her because of her beautiful smile and sweet disposition. We all received our training under you, and Annette was so blessed to have had such great parents who really loved and supported her in the accomplishments. Her vocal and musicianship will forever last on. May God forever bless you and keep you. The MANSON FAMILY will always remember such a beautiful person in spirit and in truth.
