Annie Bargh Obituary

SPORTS fan Mrs Annie Bargh, of Fields Road, Haslingden, died last Sunday at Burnley General Hospital, aged 97.
Born in Rawtenstall, Mrs Bargh moved to Haslingden when she married the late Harry.
She worked as a weaver at Porritt and Spencer, and would be remembered for working in the grocers shop on Broadway for a number of years.
Mrs Lord was a member of Haslingden Pensioners’ Association, and enjoyed caravaning; for a time she had a caravan in both Clitheroe and Read.
She was a football fan and supported both Burnley and Manchester United. She also enjoyed watching snooker on television.
Mrs Lord was the mother of the late Terence, and mother-in-law to the late Tommy. She leaves son Peter, daughters Norma, Barbara and Marilyn, daughter-in-law Lilian, sons-in-law Kenneth and Andrew, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral is today (Friday) when the Rev Stephen Brown will conduct prayers at the Pleasant Street chapel of rest at 10.30am, followed by cremation at Accrington at 11am.
Family flowers only will be accepted, and donations are welcome for the MS Society c/o funeral director: Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.
