Helen Wisniewski Kaper, 68, a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant Borough, died Friday evening, Aug. 12, 2005, in Excela Health Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, May 11, 1937, a daughter of the late Casimir and Anna Stepanic Wisniewski. Helen was a devout Catholic and faithful member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, and a former member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. She was a graduate of Ramsay High School, Class of 1955, and a former employee of the former West Penn Power of Cabin Hill, Greensburg. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family and a friend to all who knew her. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Walter V. Kaper, whom she married April 30, 1960; her two sons, Walter V. Kaper Jr. and his wife, Patty (Fedorke), of Syracuse, N.Y., and Charles E. Kaper, of Mt. Pleasant, and his friend, Terri Nelson, of Jeannette; the love of her life, her five grandchildren, Ashley, Kendyl, Megan, Austin and Allison; her two sisters and brother, Genevieve Pavick and her husband, Steve, of Mt. Pleasant, Leo Wisniewski and his wife, Mazie, of Mt. Pleasant, and Regina Antonishen and her husband, Victor, of Mt. Pleasant; and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Charles V. (Stella) Kaper, of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edward and Vincent Wisniewski. Helen's family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by her funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson. Committal services and interment will follow in Transfiguration Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
