Anthony Booth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 17, 2024.
Anthony "Tony" Booth, born on December 23, 1971, in Louisville, passed away on August 12, 2024, in Crestwood, Kentucky. Tony was known for his humor, warmth and dedication both personally and professionally. His interests ranged wide; from his love of history, college sports (UofL), politics, and a passion for film; and if you had the pleasure to sit down and talk with Tony, he'd keep you there for a lengthy, but sincere conversation. His love for family was profound and it was known that his niece Penelope had his heart, and he himself wrapped around her finger. Our family trips to the zoo won't be the same without him.

He built a respected career at UPS, where his commitment and hard work left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the many people served by his efforts. Many of those colleagues became his family after years and decades of working side-by-side.

Tony is survived by his mother, Cynthia Booth; his niece, Aisha Wright; his great-niece, Penelope Wright; his nephew, John Smith; and his half-brothers Avery, Charles, and Albert. He was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Booth; and his father, Anthony Booth.

A memorial service celebrating Tony's life will be held on August 31st, from 12:30pm to 2pm.

Location:
The Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints
6401 Westwind Way
Crestwood, Kentucky

The service will offer friends, family, and colleagues a chance to gather and remember Tony's enduring spirit and contributions.

First of all, I´m shocked, I talked to Tony everyday just the week before and got to spend time with him for 30 minutes everyday. Im so glad I got to be with him before work everyday and be shown his rays of light. He was just such a bright person. I´ve quit ups a few times, he remembered be by name every time I came back. He´s the sweetest guy ever and he was just so happy all the time, he was one of the kindest men I´ve met. He was thoughtful and work will never be the same. Im glad we got to train together recently, I´m just shocked, he was really that happy of a person.

Tony my favorite memory was meeting you for the first time when we just kids and life was simple. You were just one big Afro with legs and a big smile. I was honored to be your cousin. We love you and will miss you always

Tony was so invested in his new hire´s success. He involved himself in our operations more than what was asked and was a part of the family in our building. His smile could light up a room.
