Lynn, MA - Anthony "Tony" Capano, age 53, of Lynn, died at his residence on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, in 1970, he was the beloved son of Rocco Capano of Lynn and the late Maria Victoria (Lentini) Capano, who predeceased him in December of 2021. He was raised in Lynn, attended Lynn Public Schools and later received his GED, which he was very proud of. Tony worked as a laborer for many years in the local area. He was a talented musician, playing both the drums and guitar and was an internet sensation known as "Tone Capone".
In addition to his father Rocco, Tony is survived by his loving brothers and sister, State Representative Peter Capano and his wife Michele of Lynn and Rocco Capano of Lynn and Rosamaria Croughwell and her husband Michael of Methuen; his aunt and godmother, Ceserina Procopio and her husband Sostene; his aunt, Gerry Hart and her husband Ricky; his nieces and nephews, Dena DiPardo and her husband Nick of Lynn, Stephen Capano and his wife Molly of Salem, Sarah Lincoln and her husband Andy of Methuen and John "Jack" Croughwell of Lowell; his grandnieces Vera and Maggie DiPardo and his many cousins and close friends.
Service Information: A Funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 9a.m. from the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Lynn at 10a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
