Anthony Colasurdo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 13, 2018.

Anthony P. Colasurdo, beloved father, husband, brother, and uncle, passed away Thursday, July 12th, 2018 at the age of 67, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1950 to parents Ralph Colasurdo and Filomena Strocchio, he went on to attend St. Peter's Prep and St. Peter's College before pursuing a career in education spanning four decades, as both teacher and administrator, in Weehawken, NJ. He held a Master of Arts in Reading and a Master of Arts in Administration from New Jersey City University.

He was truly one of a kind: an influential coach, teacher, and mentor to thousands of students in the classrooms and baseball diamonds of Weehawken Schools; a gifted musician, singer, and performer who personified rock & roll; and most importantly a man of the highest character, who approached life with humor, charm, integrity, and an ever-present smile on his face.

He is survived by wife Pamela, three sons Anthony, Nicholas, and Christopher, brother Ralph, sister-in-law Jane, niece Jillian, extended family, and many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, the Colasurdo family and Weehawken Schools will be accepting donations to a scholarship fund in his name, to support Weehawken students in pursuit of higher education. Donations can be made on The Anthony P. Colasurdo Memorial Scholarship GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/anthony-colasurdo

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18th from 5-9pm at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd., in Secaucus, NJ.
