Anthony James Correro, III, (Andy) shrugged off this mortal coil on Wednesday, July 22nd. He was born in Monroe, LA, on December 15th, 1941, to Anthony J. Correro, Jr., and Robbie Lee Pace. He graduated from Northeast State University in Monroe and LSU Law School where he was Order of the Coif and an editor of the Law Review. He practiced law at Jones Walker for 25 years, in his own firm, and most recently at Adams and Reese. He was an adjunct professor of law at LSU Law School for 25 years and at Tulane Law School. He has served on the boards of several businesses and was a member of many paperback book clubs. He is survived by his spouse, Margaret O’Meara and three children and their spouses, Holly and Alex Markels, Edward Correro and Anne Miller, Marshall and Kim Correro. His grandchildren are Louis and Alice Correro and Moses, Atticus, and Abraham Markels. Mr. Correro is survived by 3 brothers, Joseph Correro of Houston, and Michael and Steve Correro of Monroe. Memorial mass will be held at MATER DOLOROSA CHURCH, 1228 So. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans, LA. at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 25th,. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 AM before the mass. If friends wish instead of flowers please send contributions to the New Orleans Opera Association, 1010 Common St., Suite 1820, New Orleans, LA 70112 in the name of Anthony Correro. Anthony Correro was one of the best people I have ever met. He adored his wife and children in addition to practicing law. May he rest in eternal peace. His secretary of 17 years, Glenda Campbell.
