Lee Griffin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 13, 2018.
NORTHPORT – Lee Griffin, age 58, of Northport, Ala., died January 10, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be from 2 to 3 p.m., at Northgate Baptist Church Sunday, January 14, 2018, with Scott McQueen officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Shaina Lee Daniel (Kevin); sons, Ricky D. Griffin, Nick Griffin and Russell Griffin (Heather); mother, Audrey Evans; and grandchildren, Nickolas Griffin, Jr., Russell Griffin, Jr., Kael Daniel, Nathan Griffin, Samantha Griffin, A.J. Melton, Kaitlyn Griffin, Noah Griffin, Abby Daniel, Jacob Griffin and Tommy Daniel.
Mom was born and raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. She moved to Northport with her husband and children in 1989. She always had a love for animals and in 1997 opened her own dog grooming business, A Puppy's Palace.
Lee had many talents and hobbies. She was very artistic and spent much time painting, crocheting and making crafts.
Lee gave her life to the Lord in 2004 and spent much time with her church family at Lakewood Baptist Church. She loved being involved with VBS, Phoenix House, Operation Christmas and especially her Ladies of Lakewood crocheting class who made blankets to give people in need. In her spare time she enjoyed going with her mom, to Craftwork Ceramics.
She was loved by so many and all who met her would remark about her relentless humor and desire to bring fun and laughter to every situation. More than these things her greatest love and joy was found in spending time with her children and grandchildren who knew her as ""YaYa.""
Her passing will leave a hole in many lives impossible to fill. She will be deeply missed.

I was saddened to learn of Lee's passing today. She groomed my dog Dijon. She always was busy tutoring, caring for grandchildren, reading, and knitting.
She will be missed for her clever wit and caring personality. Our condolences to the family and close friends of this wonderful person.

Sincere condolences to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace, Hosea 13:14. *
