DI MEO Anthony J. Di Meo Supervisor with A&P, Vietnam vet, 59 Anthony J. Di Meo, 59, of Morris Plains passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 17, 2008. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, on Wednesday, March 26, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. The visitation will be at the BradleyBraviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. To send the family a condolence or for directions, visit bradleyfuneralhomes.com. Born in East Orange, Mr. Di Meo lived in Newark and Montville before moving to Morris Plains in 1987. Mr. Di Meo was a meat supervisor with A&P Supermarkets corporate office in Montvale since 1981. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant during the Vietnam War. As a young boy growing up in Newark, Anthony served as an altar boy at St. Lucys Church. He was a lifelong Yankee fan, an avid runner and loved to dance. He took great pride in his home and his loving family. Anthony was the beloved husband for 30 years to Susan Sage Di Meo; devoted father of Anthony Robert and Melissa Ann Di Meo, and dear brother of Michael and his wife, Joan Di Meo, Philip and his wife, Connie De Meo, Diane and her husband, Robert Gareffa and Phyllis and her husband, Tony Francin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center at Basking Ridge, 136 Mountain View Blvd., Basking Ridge, N.J. 07920.
