Alfred Pacheco, Sr. Sept. 11, 1921 - Dec. 22, 2010 Resident of Castro Valley Alfred Pacheco, Sr., died December 22, 2010 at home, surrounded by family and friends. Born September 11, 1921, in Modesto, CA, he was preceded by his parents, Joseph Pacheco and Frances Augayo Pacheco, and his 6 siblings. He was a 1941 graduate of Emery High School, Emeryville, CA; a US Navy veteran, a 46-year resident of Castro Valley, and a 65-year member of Carpenters Union Local 713. Al was married for 54 years to Felisa Cortez Pacheco, and had 4 children before Felisa predeceased him in 1997. Alfred is survived by his lovely wife of 12 years, Alice Navarro Pacheco; his children from his previous marriage, Al (Marie), Jesse, Arthur (Jane) and Rosalie (Bill), and Alice's daughter, Sherry (Steve); 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and his best friend, John Freitas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2010 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm, at Holy Angles Funeral and Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Road, Hayward, CA 94542. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, immediately adjacent to the mortuary.
