BROWNSBORO - Services for Anthony Allan "Tony" Fulcher, 64, Brownsboro, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Athens, with the Rev. Ken Calhoun officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow at noon in Cedar Memorial Gardens in Mineola.

Tony died Aug. 9, 2011, at home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Dallas to the late Elmer Lee and Dorothy Virginia Brooks Fulcher. Following graduation from Mineola High School, Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture at Texas A&M in Commerce. He then served in the United States Army in Vietnam as a combat medic. Upon returning from military duty, Tony began a long career in the nursery and landscaping business. He worked for Eikner Nursery in Tyler and later owned and operated Fulcher Landscaping.

He taught horticulture at Tyler Junior College eight years then entered into the partnership of Fulcher & Mase Landscaping. From 1992 until 1996 he held the position of grounds superintendent at University of North Texas at Denton. In 1996 he accepted the position of operation and facilities manager at Texas Fresh Water Fisheries Center for Texas Parks and Wildlife. Since 2003 Tony served as grounds superintendent for Caldwell Zoo in Tyler.

Tony was preceded in death by a son, Jay Rainer Fulcher in 2005.

Survivors include wife of 28 years, Ginna Fulcher, Brownsboro; son, Anthony Allan Fulcher Jr. and wife Ashley, Tyler; daughters, EmmaLee Anna Fulcher, Brownsboro, Rachel Brooke Fulcher and partner Raymond Greenhaw, Brownsboro; brother, Col. John Timothy Fulcher, U.S. Army retired, Mineola; grandchildren, Anthony Allan "Trey" Fulcher III and Anna Marie Fulcher.

Pallbearers will be Circilo Diaz, Cory Smith, Henry Caldwell, Jerrod Wallum, Keith Mills and Scott Maxwell.

Honorary pallbearers are John Fulcher and Judd Long.

Family will receive friends at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Caldwell Foundation, 2203 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tyler, 75702.
