Anthony Glenn Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 2, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony LaVelle Glenn (Tony Mack), who bid farewell to this world on January 15, 2025. Born on September 18, 1969 to Marilyn Yvonne Mack and Washington Glenn, Tony brought love, laughter, and light into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tony, known affectionately as "Tony Mack," was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. Preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Yvonne Mack, father Washington Glenn, father Seymour Hill Sr., nephew Tyler Hill, brother Seymour Hill, great aunt Leila Strong, and brother Torrence Glenn, Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be fondly remembered for years to come.

He is survived by his children, Anthony Glenn Jr. and Laelha Boyd/Glenn, sisters Darci and Niecy Mack, Lisa Hill-Lang, and Twyla Hill; brothers Darci Glenn, Damon Glenn, and Jonas Smith, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who cherished him deeply.

Following his graduation from Central High School, Tony pursued a career as a medical courier. However, it was his personal traits that truly set him apart. Known as the family comedian, Tony had a knack for bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1st, 2025, at Riley Park Pavilion in East Chicago, Indiana, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The family would like to thank everyone who has shown their support during this difficult time, and they extend their heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and comfort they have received.

As we bid farewell to Tony, we carry with us the memories of his warmth, humor, and love. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.

My sincere condolences to the Glenn, Mack & Hill family. As a part of the Butternut Street Family, I vividly remember Tony always had jokes and if you laughed to hard you would be a part of his next joke but we knew it was All love and fun! Great times indeed! I am certain that him and Seymour have just started their own comedy show in heaven. To the family May God continue to give you comfort and strength during this time and beyond. Love you all! Rest in Peace Tony Mack

Tony is the reason I learned to run fast resulting in me being on the track team at Block Jr. High. One day leaving school from Franklin, Tony went into the Prairies and found a garden snake. He decided to chase us with the snake and I out ran him and everybody else that he chased!! He couldn“t believe how fast I ran! He told me that I should be on the track team and I did just that! Good memories of him is what I have. He will never be forgotten! Much love to the family

When we were kids growin' up on G. St. we always watched the Flinstones and one episode was with 007. His name was "James Bondrock". From that day Tony always called me that. I always called him "Tone Capone". Forever in my heart Tony!

Tony was not only family, he was my brother. It was never a dull moment be around Tony. He was going to do or say something so funny, you'll fall out of your chair in laughter. He had a good heart and loved his family and close friends. He received his wing and is an angel in heaven. Love you now and forever cousin!

I will forever cherish our conversations. The way we would laugh, depending on the day or mood you were in, telling me I should be a comedian, a doctor, a preacher. Rest in eternal peace big bro, until we see each other in the next lifetime
