Anthony "Tony" Palmieri Jr. 81, died January 27th 2016. He was born in Kingston, TN to the late Anthony and Bonnie nee White. He was surrounded by family for his 81st birthday party and then again at his birth to eternal life. The family moved to Highwood and then to Libertyville where Tony finished high school. At age 17 Tony began his career as a bricklayer working for his Uncle Homer. After 17 years he took a job with JAC Masonry where he remained until his retirement. During that time he supervised the masonry construction of numerous buildings in Lake and McHenry Counties. At the time of his death he was a 64 year member of Brick and Stone Masons Local 20 of Lake County. He enjoyed 19 years of well deserved retirement where his hobbies included woodworking, golf and travel. He spent time in retirement at his homes in Florida and most recently Park City, IL. A great friend with an always upbeat personality was a longtime employee and bricklayer foreman. I first met Tony when I was in high school when he worked for my dad. He was always lots of fun a taught me a lot about bricklaying. He helped me put the brick on 2 houses I built. I will always remember him and will miss him greatly.Jim Carlson
